In LivingLean™ you will discover why that is. You will explore new ways of thinking about the process of eating that are very different from anything you've tried or thought of before.

In a few short days, you'll learn how to master your mind and change your emotional relationship with food, actually turning the process of losing weight into a positive experience. You'll learn how to eliminate the psychological blocks that have kept you away from success in the past. This training is about living lean and powerfully:

    • without deprivation

You'll learn how to be powerful in the midst of stress, boredom, and other problems without resorting to food as your solution. We are confident that this program will work for you. Take the first five sessions. That’s all that we ask. A movie a week can change your life.

How the Program Works

The Selfhelpworks philosophy is “A movie a week can change a life.” Participants watch as little as one movie per week at their leisure. (They may watch them more often if they choose and we will even remind them if they forget.) In between sessions they apply one power principle learned in the movie that is designed to remove barriers, create possibility, and keep them focused on their vision.

The user-friendly “feature sets” of the Selfhelpworks programs were designed to recreate as closely as possible the experience that a person could have if they attended our live trainer-led programs.

  1. Instructor Each lesson is a multimedia coaching session led by a certified trainer. The program trainer motivates, educates, and demonstrates to the participants how to apply the simple but powerful concepts to even the most difficult challenges in their lives. They lay the foundation, process, and track for change.

     
  2. Support Live programs usually contain a wide spectrum of support options. Support from Selfhelpworks is unequaled in stand-alone online programs.

     
    1. MP3 Downloads - A series of 13 short motivational support talks are available for the participant to listen to on their cell, I Pod, or CD.

       
    2. PersonalCoach™ - The PersonalCoach™ is a sophisticated software program that tracks the user experience longitudinally and provides experience-based coaching appropriately. This is an integral part of the programs’ unparalleled interactive nature. Participants complete short confidential surveys before most sessions. Based on how they fill out the surveys they may receive coaching (audio and text) on how to deal with certain challenging situations. They may also receive coaching to keep them or nudge them back on track, or to just simply acknowledge them. They may even get e-mail or PDA feedback if they choose.

       
    3. Internet-Based RealTalkRadio™ - Once a week we hold a live online support group hosted by the instructor or a guest. Users can call, e-mail, or fax in questions, problems, and challenges if they want to get verbal feedback (as if they were in a live group session)… or they can just listen. Selfhelpworks promotes the sessions weekly to all participants unless they opt out of the reminder.

       
    4. E-mails – Users receive up to 50 reminder, motivational, or educational e-mails throughout the year.

       
  3. Program Manual At the end of each lesson, reading material, which mirrors the delivered message, is available to print and refer to as desired.

     
  4. Program ExercisesEach session contains actualization exercises (incorporated within the reading materials) designed to bring that lesson to life.

     
  5. Additional ToolsThe programs contain a variety of program-specific tools designed to the keep the user experience interesting and valuable.

    Program Schedule

    The recommended schedule for the LivingLean™ Program consists of 14 videos over a period of 8 weeks (although you can choose the once a week option). Attending each session is important because this a step-by-step process, where one day builds the foundation for the next. The first five sessions are incredibly important as it is in these sessions that you will learn the secrets to personal power. The remaining are support sessions that deal with the tricks your mind plays on your higher self. These support sessions focus on how to create within yourself the possibility of being lean, healthy, and free into your future, as well as how to deal with all sorts of adverse situations. They also give you tips on how to create a healthy family without starting WWIII.

    A typical schedule is as follows:

    Each session lasts from 30 - 45 minutes, and consists of an audio/visual seminar and interactive quizzes. There are also many support components like RealTalkRadio™, a live internet radio show where you may call in and talk to a medical professional to get advice.

    You gain control, believe it or not, after Session 3. Our promise is: "enroll, follow our instructions, and bring all the comfort foods you want…because in a few short weeks you won't care about them anymore."

You guys are terrific. I just can't believe this has worked so well for me. It has actually changed and possibly saved my life. I have been chronically obese my whole life. I look forward to every class and support audio. Lou mentioned that sometimes we would wish it were over... not me. I look forward to his very sensible programs. I would recommend this program to any one who like me who wants to live a life of lean. I 'm loosing weight (100+ pounds) and don't even have to be on a diet!!!!! I just had some tension in my life and would have eaten for two days in my old frame of mind and I zoomed through the problem with no binges of anything. Like I said before you, guys are all terrific and I can't wait to tell everyone who will listen.
