The History and Challenge
A valued customer for the past five years, ValueOptions held a strategic initiative as an organization to evolve from a traditional behavioral health organization to a behavioral health and wellness organization. They were looking to identify strategic partners that represented best in class organizations around the delivery of health and wellness services. What they recognized in ConvergenceHealth was a depth of expertise unparalleled in the industry, not only in content integration but in the totality of the products and services they offered.
In addition to the original business need for a coaching platform and content, ValueOptions presented a second challenge to ConvergenceHealth as their business grew into the wellness space. They had an aggressive 90 day implementation goal for the design of a Member Wellness Portal, systems integration, and health & wellness content – all within a flexible platform designed to accommodate their business growth.
The initial engagement with ValueOptions was to deploy the Case Manager product within three custom websites. These sites were developed with specific health and wellness content and are still in existence today. They are www.mysessions.net , www.lifecoachconnect.com , and www.workplaceconsult.com . Case Manager was designed specifically for counselors, coaches, trainers, and educators, enabling them to work more efficiently and effectively with more people in a personal manner. Built to function like a standard contact management system, Case Manager provided ValueOptions, with an easy to use, familiar and intuitive interface for managing correspondence and calendaring needs.
ValueOptions posed a second business challenge to ConvergenceHealth with an aggressive timeline of a 90 day implementation. They were seeking a custom branded Member Wellness Portal that was not only rich in health and wellness content but robust in reporting capabilities and flexible enough to accommodate continued business growth. Additionally, they looked to ConvergenceHealth to provide system integration with their existing Achieve Solutions site.
As part of the 90 day implementation plan, ConvergenceHealth designed an exclusive Member Wellness Portal providing system integration with the existing ValueOptions Achieve Solutions site. The portal was populated with our Health Risk Manager Product Suite which includes over 40 online assessments, including our ConvergenceHealth Health Risk Manager Assessment. This state of the art online health risk assessment is administered securely and confidentially through ValueOptions member portal and generates both personal and administrative reports that identify key areas of health and wellness concerns. Recommendations are then generated to achieve optimal health. The health risk assessment covers key health issues including heart health, nutrition, weight management, fitness, cancer, smoking, stress, and safety.
The power of the Health Risk Manager Product Suite is also in the Group Reporting tools that provided ValueOptions® the flexibility to filter reports by such things as gender, age, income group, and then further filter by company division, or roll up many different companies into one report. Most importantly, ValueOptions has the ability to see the progress of the Health and Wellness programs they initiated!
Another milestone in the implementation was the population of the portal with robust health and wellness content which includes over 1,100 articles and newsletters, 650 videos, a medical encyclopedia, and 5 relevant CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) Modules. The CBTs included were:

One of the core competencies ValueOptions was looking for in a solution was a flexible platform that could accommodate business growth. ConvergenceHealth provided ValueOptions with exactly what they were looking for – our FrameNet Platform. This robust proprietary solution has been custom designed to be the foundation for the interactive web-based wellness experience. Because our products sit on top of FrameNet, it allows ValueOptions to mix and match what products, tools, and services get provided to their client companies by using such administrative tools as Link Manager, Site Manager, and Company Manager. New sites are created within minutes –not hours or days! One of the big advantages of the FrameNet platform is the ability to create and manage as many websites or portals as you wish from a single instance of FrameNet – no coding experience required!
